what is nutrition?
Our department is one of the oldest food and nutrition programs in North Carolina. We provide students a small, close-knit community within a large university and opportunities at all levels to work with expert clinicians, researchers, and top-notch mentors.
We have state of the art equipment and laboratories, and our teaching kitchen laboratory is one of the largest spaces of its kind in the state to provide hands-on experiences.
Students have access to an extensive network of community partners, internship sites, and professional development opportunities. They are exposed to well- and lesser-known career paths in nutrition, ranging from dietetics and community wellness programming to nutrition science, research, and academia.
